Sr Oracle DBA
Description
We are hiring a Senior Oracle DBA to supportcustomer platforms handling orders, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, and customer transactions across large-scale Supply Chain & eCommerce environments.
This role ensures databases remain fast, stable, and available for real-time business operations and client services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Oracle databases (19c/21c) in production
- Performance tuning for order processing & checkout workflows
- Optimize queries impacting cart, payment & shipping operations
- Monitor peak traffic events (sales, promotions, bulk orders)
- Backup, recovery & disaster recovery (RMAN, RAC, Data Guard)
- Resolve production incidents impacting customers & partners
- Work with application, API & integration teams
- Maintain security, data integrity & SLA uptime commitments
Required Skills
- 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments
- Strong Oracle DBA (RAC, ASM, Data Guard)
- Performance tuning for high-transaction systems
- Experience with Supply Chain / Logistics / eCommerce platforms
- SQL optimization & troubleshooting production issues
- Cloud & automation knowledge (Shell/Python preferred)
- Experience supporting business-critical customer operations
Nice to Have
- GoldenGate / replication
- Monitoring tools (OEM, Grafana, Splunk)
- Retail, shipping, or fulfillment domain exposure.
